How do i know Split Tunneling is Working

I have split tunneling set up for Firefox and qBittorrent. It seems to be working for Firefox, but how can I be sure it is working for qBittorrent?

Click on a torrent within the download section. In the bottom screen, click on Trackers. After a few minutes (or less) an IP address will show in the STATUS. That IP address should be equal to your assigned IP address (whoer, net) from PIA or SOCKS5. If the IP address is equal to you ISP assigned address then you are not secure.
  • Thanks, I appreciate that. I've tried a couple times and the statuses just say "working"
  • Try with split tunnel turned off and only PIA running. See if the status changes to reflect the PIA IP address.
  • yeah, still getting either "working", "not working", or "updating" as the only statuses
  • OK, sounds like a couple of possibilities. 1 your connect to PIA might not be complete. Try a different server. Although I use US California, sometimes I will go to either US West or US Seattle. 2 if that connection is in fact working, meaning you can surf and what not, then it might be a configuration within your torrent client. There are some test torrents you can download and see if they work both in the open and with PIA active. Go here to run a test on your client. If that is still not working, then you next step will be to fill out the PIA Service Ticket.

    Good luck
  • Thanks for this. It looks like the VPN IP address is showing up in the "Message" field of the test torrent, both when the only PIA is running and when the split tunnel is turned on for qBittorrent. Appreciate the help!
  • One is glad to be of service.
