I added the files hosted by Mega since Dropbox seems to require people to login to download anything now.
*Edit* Dropbox no longer has the files. Mega still does however.
*Edit* Removed the referral link. I have 2.1GB of free space to use for the future. Thanks again everyone.
*Edit* Upon looking at what Dropbox wants, they are reminding me of Google. They want private information. They seek it by giving you the benefits of Internet accessible storage, but it may be a bad idea to join if you value your privacy. Here is a few screenshots to show why I think this. (Posting them via Dropbox, ironically.)

Back on that subject, I now have three versions of the PIA Linux client, and only the latest version of the OSX client. Are there any more I should be hosting? (Two of the three versions of the PIA Linux Client I have are without version numbers. So I have one with the default name, and the other with the prefix Old added since it was an earlier version.)
And it seems I must have done something similar three years back, since I appear to have referred myself... (I do not recall it, but the evidence is there for all to see.)
*Edit* I will remove the referral link above. It is almost impossible to imagine needing more space than this for the few things I do with it. Thanks again everyone.
The secret to using Dropbox for anything personal is to 1) give them bogus info and 2) encrypt everything BEFORE you ever upload it there. And of course use PIA whenever you login.
ETA: Nope, I cleared my history the last time I changed gateways. @OmniNegro - If you ever decide you need more storage just PM me the referral link.
And back on topic, v46 still holding below 7MB.
TrueCrypt 7.1a. (All versions of 7.1a in one zip archive. 23.3MB)
Dear Private Internet Access customers,
the OpenSSL project has released a security advisory[1] with multiple
fixes of vulnerabilities found in OpenSSL and fixed in the latest
version.
of our servers running OpenSSL have been updated. The OSX client has
also been updated. We're working on updating our windows client and it
will be updated as soon as possible.
in mind that even if you're running an older client, your data is safe
since both server and client need to be vulnerable in order for
CVE-2014-0224 to be exploitable.
v39 had this:
- fixes the connection issue with the Kill Switch where the app would sometimes take longer to connect after disconnecting.
v40 had this:
v41 had this:
- Fixes an issue on Windows 8.1 where the kill switch would sometimes not trigger on interfaces with IPv6 configured
v42 had this:
- Fix issue when client could send 'server check' requests to localhost.
v43 had this:
- To provide us information about the connected state of OpenVPN on debug logs sent to support.
v44 had this:
- Add a link on the sign in page that enables user to reset password.
v45 had this:
- Fixes issue with port forwarding
v46 had this:
- Fixes issue memory leak issue
These are all in the changelogs subforum under the respective version. Easy to find if you want to look.
Have you upgraded to the latest version? Would you recommend others update to the latest?
In order, the most important of those were versions 38, 40, 45, and the current 46. 38 and 40 were OpenSSL updates. And 44 added "auto" as a region to select when connecting.
So if you do not need port forwarding, and want to use an old version, I suggest 40 as the oldest to use. I have them all in my Dropbox VPN folder.
However, if you use a Mac or Linux I frankly have no idea what is best. I finally got around to retaining the current Mac version, and there is finally a version number to use for the Linux version, so the future looks bright for all platforms.
There are new forks now which are being actively worked one. See VeraCrypt https://veracrypt.codeplex.com/ or CipherShed https://ciphershed.org/
I'm liking what I see happening with VeraCrypt. The developer isn't some nameless person who's afraid to identify himself, and he has already made corrections to the parts of the TrueCrypt code which had been reported as problematic. I'm thinking of using it myself.
Can anyone comment on the working order of Kill Switch in this version?
The audit is still ongoing, but has not yet found anything amiss worthy of reporting. Mostly they just bitch about mixing unsigned and signed integers.
Here is the original thread were we discussed this in detail. And thanks Peter_Brown for the referral to VeraCrypt. I will check it out.

*Edit* And in the rare case where someone does not know what happened to poor Phil Zimmerman, here is the Wikipedia link to it.

What is not shown in the log is something else very beneficial - the vpn doesn't get disconnected anymore when the HDD is in constant use for long periods of time.
All other editions including .45, if I copied a large file directory with many large files inside the vpn will disconnect in the middle of things.
This edition I am currently testing by copying 3 large file directories on same HDD and downloading and web surfing at same time and so far no disconnects! I didn't even change the system priority for openvpn.exe and it's already fine!
***Kudos to the PIA and the programming team for finally fixing this very irritating issue.
