I'm getting flooded with "A discussion was flagged" e-mails from this forum

I seem to be getting flooded with "A discussion was flagged" e-mails from this forum for every spam post that Osborn_cox deletes. I did not make any of these posts but I have received dozens of them and they keep coming. I don't know why I'm getting notified of every spam deletion on this forum, can someone please take me off this flagged message list?

    I was actually unaware that Osborn_Cox was staff? Or perhaps she is not and just reported them. (I presume it is a she since the avatar image suggests that to my eyes, even as the name does not.)

    I used to report spam, but then all out of nowhere I stopped hearing from anyone I was reporting to altogether and the spam ceased to exist on its own. And no, I am not staff for PIA either.

    However on the subject of this, you may want to go to your profile by clicking your username in the upper left corner and click edit profile and then change your Notification preferences. Here is what I see, and you can disable most or even all of them and the forum will still work for you.

    Ah, I thought the "Notify me when a comment is flagged." preference meant notify me when one of MY comments is flagged. It makes no sense that this would notify you of every flagged comment on the whole forum. I've turned it off so hopefully it stops.

    I did flag some spam, though I would think the flags should only go to staff and not all forum members! O_O So I apologise!

    I'm not staff btw.

    I just did, but in the text field I put "This is a test, please disregard it entirely." I hope they notice that and the content of the post itself. (I would feel really bad if I got you kicked off due to this.)

    Thanks for testing. I didn't get any flag notification. Maybe they fixed it already I wonder.

    Or when they read it to say disregard it entirely they did just that and nothing happened. Next time the staff have a moment, it might be nice to have a test flag used and if it would have any negative effects on your account, have that countered as well. But it probably does not matter, so long as no-one is getting harassed by the notifications anymore.

    Ok, I've still be receiving these annoying messages regularly but today I received an explosion of over 200 of these and they're still coming in. I'm not a moderator and I don't want to receive a message for every little thing the moderators do. Can you please fix this forum bug?? This is ridiculous.

    Open that and click "Notification Properties" on the right side.

    Uncheck all that have e-mail by them. Click save.

    If they are not e-mail messages, then by all means disable whatever you want from the pop-up notifications too. Be warned to remember how to get there if you get things setup in a way that you do not like.

    I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm also getting these "A discussion was flagged" e-mails, like there is no tomorrow. For the past 15 hours I've received literally 10,000 e-mails, LITERALLY, and keep counting!! All of them look similar to this:

    They are reported by admin and the reasons are almost always "WCRTEXTAREATESTINPUTxxxxxxx"

    About 10 hours ago, I've already unchecked both Email & Popup boxes in "Notify me when a comment is flagged", but they are still keep coming. Administrators please do something about it!
