Blackberry 10 BB10 Q10 Device

Looking for support on any of the gateway types supported by Blackberry 10.

Juniper IPsec VPN (SRX Series)
Juniper IPsec VPN (NetScreen Series)
Juniper SSL VPN (MAG/SA Series)
Microsoft IKEv2 VPN Server
Generic IKEv2 VPN Server

Any help would be great, thanks.

  • I don't think any of those are supported by PIA
  • You could try Microsoft IKEv2, it might work as L2TP/IPsec.

    It does.

Gateway Type: Generic IKEv2 VPN Server
    Authentication Type: EAP-MSCHAPv2
    Authentication ID Type: IPv4
    MSCHAPv2 EAP Identity: <your username>
    MSCHAPv2 Username: <your username>
    MSCHAPv2 Password: <your password>
    Gateway Auth Type: PSK
    Gateway Auth ID Type: IPv4
    Gateway Preshared Key: mysafety

  • I have tried this multiple times on my Z10 running 10.3.2.2876, but it always give me an "Authentication Error". I am definitely using the correct id and password.

  • Hi,

    I tried too. Same issue!

So when you writes username/password, it is the PPTP/L2TP/SOCKS Username and Password (Please use the following button to generate or re-generate a username and password for use with PPTP/L2TP/SOCKS) ?

    And what is mysafety ?

    Best regards

@meloman "mysafety" is the L2TP/PPTP/SOCKS preshared key... Used when you generate a non OpenVPN connection such as this.

Slartibartfast etc... No, despite many threads on the internet suggesting the same as @gocicy_ , I have not found anyone who has actually stated that it works for them... It certainly does not for me on a Z10....

I Wish to place my penny in the box too...
IKEv2 or other BB10 supported protocol, pleeease.....

I tried out another service, just for this, but their interface was a mess of server selection depending on useage... and a bloody nightmare to handle to be honest... Please don't force me to go back, support us :/

Would be altogether better if BB simply supported OVPN, but hey :(
