OpenVPN configuration on Android (instead of PPTP / IPSEC)

    This uses the app OpenVPN for Android, so install that first if you don't have it already (it does not require root access, so even unmodified firmware can run it, unlike most other VPN apps).

    First, copy the ca.crt file from the official openvpn.zip to your device.
    Open OpenVPN and configure the settings to match the following screenshots:

    (You can pick any name you prefer.)

    (See the next two steps to set the CA cert box.)

    (Touch the file you uploaded earlier then press the Import button,)

    (Press the save button in the top right corner to complete importing the certificate file.)

    Now go back to the main list of VPNs (within this app, not system-wide), and touch this configuration to connect.
