How to Cancel and Resume Automatic Payments

Cancel/Resume/Reactivate Subscriptions

Cancel Automatic Renewal:

All PIA accounts (except for a select few payment methods) are subscription-based. This means, at the end of every billing cycle, your account will renew automatically.

However, we understand that some users do not want automatic payments or would only like to use our application for a specific amount of time. We offer the option to cancel an accounts automatic payment at any time directly within your Client Control Panel (CCP) which is located on the ‘My Account page’ on our Website.

To cancel your accounts automatic payments, please follow the below instructions:

Step 1: Log into your CCP

Log in to the client control panel using your account username (p1234567) and password.

Step 2: Cancel Subscription

After logging into the CCP select the sub tab “Subscription Overview”

Within this page you should see your Subscription Information. Just below this information select the option “Turn off Auto Renewal” this option will have a “Cloud icon” next to it with a slash through it.

Step 3: Provide a Reason/Feedback

After clicking the Cancel Subscription button, a new window will appear that will ask you to provide feedback regarding the cancellation of your auto-renewal.

Once you have provided your thoughts, opinions and/or feedback select Complete Cancellation.

After completing the cancellation, you will be returned to your CCP, where you will see that the option “Turn off Auto Renewal” has changed to say **“Turn on Auto Renewal” **and the “Cloud icon” no longer has a slash through it.

Additionally, you will receive a confirmation email from our support system stating that we have received a cancellation request for your account.

Reactive Automatic Renewal:

Just as we provide the option to cancel your account automatic renewal at any time within your CCP, we also provide the option to reactivate your accounts renewal at any time.

To resume or reactive your accounts automatic renewal please follow the below instructions:

Note: If you experience any issues with the "Turn on Auto Renewal" option, please disable any browser extensions, and clear your browser cache & cookies. You can also try an alternate browser.

Step 1: Log into your CCP

Log in to the client control panel using your account username (p1234567) and password.

Step 2: Resume Subscription

After logging into the CCP select the sub tab “Subscription Overview”

Within this page you should see your Subscription Information. Just below this information select the option “Turn on Auto Renewal” this option will have a full “Cloud icon” next to it.

Once you have resumed your account the system will then update your account information, and will provide you with a confirmation notice and an email. Your account will then auto renew on the next billing date.
