We don’t collect your information or log your data ever. PIA’s systems have been reviewed through an independent audit (the report is available to our customers and can be read here). We don’t know anything about you, and we plan on keeping it that way.
When you connect to PIA’s VPN, our servers will assign you a new IP address to mask your real one, making it look like you’re connecting to the internet from a different location. Our vast server network allows you to choose an IP address from nearly anywhere in the world.
All you need to buy a PIA subscription is an email address and payment. If you need extra anonymity, we also accept anonymous payment methods like third-party gift cards and cryptocurrencies.
When you route your internet traffic through PIA’s VPN, your data is encrypted and obfuscated so internet service providers (ISPs) and network administrators can’t detect what you’re doing online — browsing, streaming, or anything else.
PIA offers dedicated VPN apps for all major platforms and allows you to connect up to 10 devices with one subscription, giving you privacy protection across all your devices simultaneously.

No. PIA has an airtight No Logs policy in place. This means we don’t collect or store any information about our users that could be used to identify them. This is an area we feel strongly about, which is why we invited Deloitte to review our no logs claims (the report is available to our customers and can be read here). Any data you send through the VPN tunnel is securely encrypted, which means even we can’t read it.
Absolutely. The United States does not, and legally cannot, compel private companies that are structured like Private Internet Access to collect and log information about their users. The US has some of the strongest protections in the world against this type of government coercion. This is clearly evident in Private Internet Access’s proven track record in court. When forced to testify in a court of law, we have, time and time again, been completely incapable of producing any personal data about any of our users. And it’s because we’re based in the US that we’re able to protect our users from the government’s invasive requests.
PIA accepts all major credit cards, PayPal, Amazon Pay, as well as more anonymous payment methods like cryptocurrencies (including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BitPay, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash) and third-party gift cards (Starbucks, Walmart, Best Buy, and many more).
With 10+ years of experience, we’ve worked hard to become a leading VPN provider. We’re aware that trust is never static, so we want to always be transparent about our practices. All of PIA’s VPN apps are 100% open source, and anyone can read and inspect our source code, and we invited Deloitte to review our No Logs claims through an independent audit (the report is available to our customers and can be read here). Our No Logs policy had also been previously proven in court. We collect no user data and have no data to share with anyone.
Some claim USA VPNS are ‘compromised’ because of links to governmental boogeymen, but it’s because we’re a US-based company we’re guaranteed constitutional protections from government overreach. It’s what allows us the liberty we need to fight for your right to digital privacy and online freedom.
