50 Star Fireshow, formerly called Freedom and Fireworks: Celebrate Independence Day with Private Internet Access, Snoop Dogg and the people of Jersey City.
For the fifth year running, people will flock to the Hudson River to celebrate Independence Day together at the largest fireworks display in the state. Around 200,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event, which will take place on the waterfront in Jersey City, NJ.
This year’s celebrations promise to be just as impressive as previous years’, with an incredible fireworks display, a wide range of street food vendors, children’s entertainment and live music, with none other than Snoop Dogg headlining on the Private Internet Access stage!
The 50 Star Fireshow, formerly known as the Freedom and Fireworks Festival, is more than just a fireworks display, it is a festival of music, arts and technology, as well as a celebration of independence. Independence, freedom and privacy go hand in hand, and so there was little hesitation from us here at Private Internet Access when we had the opportunity to get involved with this year’s event.
Private Internet Access is committed to independence and privacy, both online and offline, and we are concerned about the trends that threaten to put us at risk: lack of privacy, surveillance and centralisation. And while Independence Day is a day for celebration and community, it is also a day for education and empowerment, and we hope to see many of you stand shoulder to shoulder with us and the wider privacy movement as we continue the crucial fight to protect our human rights.

We are excited about the event, and have enjoyed working together with 50STAR FIRESHOW and Jersey City on this year’s Independence Day celebrations. The location couldn’t be any more perfect, with the incredible Grucci fireworks display and the scene of Snoop Dogg’s performance being nestled between Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
