Exciting Update: Private Internet Access Adds New Server Locations
We’re proud to announce a substantial expansion to our global server network: we’ve added servers in seven new countries, increasing the number of countries in our network from 84 to 91 and giving you over 140 different locations to choose from overall.
At PIA, our top priority is meeting your demands. We’re already one of the few VPN providers with servers in all 50 US states, and to ensure we can keep meeting your demands, we’ve added servers in regions that are often underserved by other VPN providers.
Our new servers are located in:
- Bolivia
- Ecuador
- Guatemala
- Nepal
- Peru
- Uruguay
- South Korea
This is a great way to celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and underscores our unwavering commitment to making the internet a more secure and accessible place, overcoming censorship, and thwarting surveillance in various regions.
The addition of South Korea to the server network is particularly exciting if you love K-drama and Korean TV, as you’ll have unlimited access to all the best content from this genre.
Nepal is a more understated but equally important addition. With past limits on online access still shaping how people use the internet today, a trusted Nepal VPN can help make everyday browsing more private.
Incorporating new server locations across South America and Asia aligns with PIA’s mission to ensure a free and open internet for all. Each location was chosen with careful consideration, driven by user demand and specific use cases.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our server network to include these exciting new locations,” stated Himmat Bains, Head of Product at Private Internet Access. “Our primary focus is to think about how we can best meet the changing demands of our users, and these additions are a result of their requests. We also took into account regions where we saw a need for more country options and carefully considered the unique use cases for each location.”
New Dedicated IP Locations
In addition to the server expansion, Private Internet Access is boosting the number of dedicated IP locations to include popular hubs such as Brussels (Belgium), Stockholm (Sweden), Houston (Texas, US), and San Jose (Silicon Valley – California, US).
Dedicated IP addresses give you a unique IP, letting you access IP-restricted networks and conduct online transactions without the inconvenience of extra security verifications. They ensure a smoother online experience while maintaining your privacy. PIA’s industry-leading token-based system ensures that your dedicated IP can’t be linked to your email or account, helping maintain your anonymity.
“At Private Internet Access, our core commitment is to deliver the highest level of online privacy and security,” emphasized Himmat Bains. “We continue to look for ways to give our users the extra flexibility and accessibility they need in a rapidly changing digital landscape. As always, we remain dedicated to safeguarding our users’ online activities and protecting their personal data.”
Private Internet Access is known for dedication to user privacy and 100% open source transparency. As we continue to expand our network of server locations, we will ensure the reliability of our NextGen server infrastructure, while our RAM-only servers and military-grade 256-bit AES encryption protect you with the highest level of data security. We will continue to focus on providing the best VPN experience, as can be shown by this expansion of our server network and recent updates to our iOS, Android, and desktop apps.
