PIA Expands VPN Network With 10 New Locations Across 3 Regions

Posted on Oct 15, 2026 by Nicole Forrest

Two weeks ago, we added 15 new server locations to the PIA network. Today, we’re adding 10 more new server locations across the Americas, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific. That’s 25 new locations in under a month, extending our reach to 179 locations across 112 countries and territories in total.

Where You Can Now Connect With PIA

The expansion adds eight new countries and territories to our network, along with two city-level locations, to give users more choice for connection points in the US and Australia.

RegionNew Locations
AmericasBermuda, Brooklyn (New York, US), Dominican Republic, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago
Middle East & AfricaGhana, Kenya, Lebanon
Asia PacificWoolloomooloo (Sydney, AU)

The expansion includes some virtual server locations, which provide you with an IP address tied to the country or city you selected while routing your traffic through a physical server hosted in a nearby country.

Virtual server locations allow us to offer our users more locations while ensuring they meet our strict privacy and security standards. For a complete list of our virtual server locations, please visit our virtual server network page.

All locations leverage our 10-Gbps server network, advanced encryption standards, and RAM-only server setup.

Driven by What Our Users Want

We add locations where users ask for them, especially in underserved regions. This is our third network expansion since August. We more than doubled our streaming-optimized locations, then added 15 new locations focused on the Caribbean, Central Asia and Southeast Asia. This time we’re building on our Caribbean coverage and expanding into Africa, the Middle East and Central America. We’re also adding capacity in high-traffic cities like New York and Sydney.

With 10 additional locations to choose from, users have a larger selection of location-based IP addresses and can keep using their local sites and services with added privacy. This setup also means that there are more connection options to choose from during high-demand periods.

Actual speed and latency also depend on factors such as VPN server location, your physical location, ISP and network conditions, and the service you’re trying to access.

New Server Locations, Same PIA Service

Privacy is still at the forefront of PIA’s philosophy. Every new location runs on the same infrastructure as the rest of our network. Our servers operate on RAM only, so nothing is written to a hard drive and any browsing data is wiped upon reboot.

Our No-Logs policy applies here, too. Independent audits by Deloitte in 2022, 2024, and 2025 confirmed that our infrastructure can’t identify users or track what they do online. Our app source code is 100% open source and available for review.

Along with our expanding server network, PIA users also receive:

  • Access to our 10-Gbps server network spanning 179 locations.
  • Dedicated streaming servers in 35 locations.
  • Unlimited connections on one plan, so you can protect every compatible device you own.
  • Free security and privacy tools like MACE, which blocks known ads, trackers, and malware at the DNS level.

Always Growing

You don’t need to download or reinstall any apps. The new locations will appear in your PIA app automatically. To connect to one:

  1. Open the PIA app.
  2. Click on the “VPN Server” section.
  3. Search for the new location and connect.

PIA tip: Tap the heart icon next to a location to add it to your Favorites so you can find it quickly next time.
